It's the eve of our oral exams and I'm supposed to be reviewing... Instead I'm cleaning my cat's aquarium (long story) and chatting with my mum... In ten minutes I'll be going to the OR to do that close reduction of a colles' fracture... 

This is actually how we get that kind of fracture... (I imagine this hurts a lot...)

The break itself  is sometimes called a 'dinner fork' fracture because it resembles the curve of a fork.
